The weather in Baltimore is not as cold in winter or as hot in summer as it is in other eastern US cities that are sited further inland, because conditions are tempered by the ocean. During the hottest month of July the temperature can rise to 91°F (33°C), and in the midst of winter the mercury hovers around the freezing mark, sometimes plunging a few degrees below. Baltimore experiences a high annual rainfall, which occurs throughout the year. A few inches of snow is usually experienced in winter in infrequent snowstorms. |
